Democrats as Cartoon Characters

Post by tzor »

OK I’ll start with B.H.O. first of all, because he is the POTUS. I’m not going for the crude joke here; I want something that reflects on the character. Are there any really brilliant super geniuses out there? I can only think of one that fits the character of Obama.

Obama as … Lex Luthor (hey at least he too became POTUS).

I don't think this is what you're looking for, tzor, but I got one for Bill Clinton:

Image

Bill Clinton would be Lupin the Third, because he's a smooth-talking womanizer who continually outsmarts idiots (Detective Zenigata would be Chris Wallace from that epic Fox News clip).

Alright, let's get historical.

Image

Lyndon Johnson would be Yosemite Sam because he's a tough-talking Texan with a temper who doesn't know when to give up.

Okay, Tzor...now can you provide a quote of Obama's that makes sense coming out of Luthor's mouth?
I am judging the philosophies and decisions you have presented in this thread. The ones I have seen look bad, and also appear to be the fruit of a poisonous tree that has produced only madness and will continue to produce only madness.

believe in one hand and shit in the other and see which ones fills up quicker. it will be the one you are full of, shit.

Credit where due, Tzor, Obama as Luthor is really good. Luthor's been a cartoonish villain, and Obama's certainly been portrayed as such by the right. But Luthor has also been a corporate powermonger with good PR... and I've seen Obama portrayed as such by the left.

Now, it's harder to find a good quote for the correspondence, because even while Obama does questionable things (like invoking state secrets to prevent people from getting trials) he is saying reasonable things (like how transparent government is good). You might have to go with one that seems ominous out of context or include a rider that describes some hypocrisy.

Was Luthor ever given a party affiliation in the comics?

Hrmmmm. I am dying to use one for an inferior rip-off of their opposition. Does Liberman count, or is he invalid now that he is independent?

Stilt Man may be awful, but damn lookit him strut. He'd make an awesome subject for a 'Hater's gonna hate' animation.

[edit!]

Oooooh, one more!

I think the funniest part about this thread and it's compliment is the difference in titles.

Republicans are cartoon characters was made to show the startling similarities between things that actual republicans are actually saying right now, and being serious, and how those things are mother fucking crazy.

Democrats as cartoon characters was made because Tzor felt insecure and wanted to make fun of Democrats to compensate for the fact that Republicans are saying crazy things, but he can't point to any crazy things that democrats are saying that are actually straight quotes from cartoon characters, so it's really just a pathetic attempt at bashing.

When nobody was looking, Lex LuthorObama and the IRS stole 40 piespaychecks. Forty. That's as many as four tens.

And that's terrible.

Hrm, a little old and regional, but just about any Scooby-Doo villain is a good match for Mayor Tom Murphy...except for the fact that despite the meddling kids, he actually did get away with imposing a RAD Tax to fund stadiums we voted against, and handing all the local monuments over to foreign conglomerates who savaged them then left town, and our haunted amusement park being bought out by the French.
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

So... Obama is an intelligent, albeit arrogant, man who is determined to bring about a physical god because he believes that gods limit and demean humans? I'm ok with this Tzor. troll harder.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

I'm not worried about these very poor examples of the joke. Republicans saying crazy things is so much more prevalent that it approaches high art.

That being said, I will continue to be amused when Republicans can't tell the difference between The Onion and crazy things they say in real news.

Not the first time it's happened.

Fox News viewers are so isolated from other news sources ("they're all run by liberals!") that they know less about the news than people who don't watch the news. Is it any surprise, then, that one of them would mistake the Onion for a legitimate source?

I'm pleasantly surprised about the strong liberal vibe here in the Den.

For a long time I'd been laboring under the misconception that since you're all assholes, you're very likely to be conservative as well.

So glad I was wrong. :p

There's a big difference between not being polite and looking for any excuse or apologetics for screwing people over in the name of greed or tradition.

Right, we're assholes, but at least we're kind, caring assholes and not selfish pricks.
